• Born in the Netherlands, started painting while in high school and received a well grounded education in the creative process. In 1968, began to design and make jewelry, founded Jacobus Goldsmiths in Laguna Beach, California but never stopped painting during these years. In 1994, began to explore plein air painting and within four years was painting full-time and never looked back.
